OVERVIEW

Bluegrass, Iowa steel mill site is in need of a Lab Technician. This is a 2 to 3 month position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and test steel samples
• Operate laboratory testing equipment and machinery
• Record and document test results accurately
• Perform basic equipment maintenance
• Follow safety and quality procedures
• Work rotating swing shifts

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree with a science major such as chemistry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Manufacturing, laboratory, or CNC experience is a plus
• Ability to interpret industry specifications (ASTM/EN/API/ABS/CSA)

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

• 12 hour swing shift weekends included
• Onsite presence required

WAGE

• $25
