Customer Service Representative

OVERVIEW

This position is a self-leader working with the Mobile and Process industry sales team.  The position supports key customer accounts in the Mobile and Process side of the Drives business. It is all encompassing from quote process through delivery, utilizing internal business systems and working closely with other functional areas to ensure customer needs are met.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build strong, positive relationships with key contacts, internal and external, mainly through phone contact.
  • Manage the customer quotation process from receipt of RFQ from the customer through the internal review and approval process to the customer direct quotation and follow up with the customer to obtain the order.
  • Manage the order fulfillment process through order receipt through order entry, proactive order reviews, order expediting, order management with customer changes, order acknowledgments and shipping.
  • Provide product or other information promoting our products with current and prospective customers.
  • Maintain customer item/price files.
  • Monitor customer forecasts and communicate changes within Drives production and planning.
  • Solve problems relating to delivery.
  • Process and manager the communications internally and with the customer on quality issues or product returns.
  • Proactively notify customers as needed when open orders may become past due.
  • Interface with regional managers, manufacturers’ representatives, and warehouses to meet customer needs.
  • Provide requested shipment tracking and data.
  • Communicate openly and positively with Customer Service, Planners, plant personnel, Engineering, Purchasing, etc.
  • Provide customer input to regular planner meetings
  • Analyze data to benefit Sales & Operations measurements. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Associates Degree in a business related field preferred.  Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business, Supply Chain or similar desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Planning/Ordering System. 
  • Familiarity with The Company’s products and department operations.
  • Effective communication skills both written and oral. 
  • Conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
  • Effective organization skills.
  • Great customer service skills including account management and phone skills.
  • Self-started, committed to results and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to handle pressure/deadlines in a respectful, constructive manner.

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

  • 1st shift with varying hours until 6:00pm, Monday - Friday

Welders Clinton, IA

OVERVIEW
Local company currently seeking an experienced welder for the Auger Mount department.  The duties of the welder will be to perform repetitive duties, welding components on shafts to various sized Augers.  The welder will work from shop orders, verbal instructions provided, and blueprints.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set heat temperatures on welders.  Hand crank material into location.  Position attachment or flight and activate welder; inspect weld and make minor adjustments as necessary.
  • Inspect welds for proper location and making minor adjustments to position of welder gun.
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective material and refer questionable cases to supervisor.  Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in proper manner.
  • Place finished chain on pallet.  When flight welding, must be able to lift chain from pallet to weld bench and back to pallet when completed.
  • Responsible for quality:  Accept training in blueprint reading, use of gauges and measuring tools common to manufacturing, along with related statistical process control principles and other quality control procedures.
  • Must be knowledgeable in and practice all safety practices/procedures.
  • Complete all training necessary to ensure all job specifications are met. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of manufacturing welding experience desired. 
  • Blueprint reading

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Chain Assembly - USA

OVERVIEW
Performs manual labor along a production line making large chain.  Operates and troubleshoots production line machinery.  Maintains required documents and records work orders, production reports, and proper parts labeling (route cards). 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain efficiency by identifying problems and seek action to resolve issues.
  • Performs all quality-related responsibilities that will ensure that the product meets customer needs.  This includes blueprint reading, first piece inspection, using measuring instruments, and any other quality-related process.  Maintain ISO 9001 standards at all times.
  • Ensure that all necessary information is communicated within the cell, as well as to the following:  Planners, Tech TEAM, Group Leaders, and Coach.  Help one another by being open, honest, and constructive when communicating.
  • Must be flexible in accepting assignments and make positive contributions. 
  • Abide by all safety procedures and let others know of possible safety hazards that they are not aware of.  Maintain clean work area.  Keep materials well organized.
  • Must maintain an excellent attendance record.  Be at assigned workstation at the start of each shift and upon return of designated breaks.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance as required.  Meet preventative maintenance responsibilities.

OVERVIEW
Perform a variety of punching, piercing, notching, forming, spanking, and similar press operations on variety of metal parts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow detailed instructions as to method of loading and operating press.  Use fixed gauge, when available, to check work to maintain tolerance.
  • Work is repetitive.  Most set-ups and adjustments made by others.  Individual judgment is required in checking work.  Also required is reading of blueprints and use of gauges.
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective material, and refer unusual conditions or operating difficulties to supervisor.
  • Read detailed routing sheet, fill out route card, and keep aware of next operation for each part.  Required to open tub door with pry bar and remove door.  On occasion must grind, drill and ream, saw or sand parts.
  • Prepare and cleanup work area.  Must oil all pierced parts before putting them in press.
  • Continuously operate machines working with light to average weight material.
  • Must be knowledgeable in and practice all safety procedures.
  • Responsible for quality:  Accept training in blueprint reading, use of gauges and measuring tools common to manufacturing, along with related statistical process control principles and other quality control procedures.

  • Mathematical & Reasoning skills needed.

Press Die Repair

Position Summary:  The Press Bench will analyze die performance, make changes and repairs directed from a work order or specific die layout specification.  Disassemble production dies for maintenance purposes by correcting faults or tooling issues either during a production run or after that run. Use of basic hand tools and measuring veneers and micrometers. The Press Bench reports to the Press Bench Manager. 

Essential Job Duties: 
• Understand part print specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualize product.
• Set-up and operate machine tools such as grinder, lathes, drill presses to repair parts from the production die to further a production run or maintenance.
• Verify dimension, alignments, and clearances.
• Examine standard or previously used dies, jigs, and recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of a part.
• Complete all paperwork and reports to track what maintenance has been done.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:  High School diploma. Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, not required for an entry position.
**If candidate has a One-year certificate from college or technical school, candidate will be considered for Press Bench

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Forklift License required.
