Position Description

The Department Administrator will work closely with each team in the department to provide administrative support and handling a variety of clerical tasks in a polite and professional manner. Responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material and for completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to website contents update and social media accounts of the department.
  • Email reminders and reports to students and faculty via iContact.
  • Review the Student Orientation, Policies, and Resource pages for upcoming courses in Canvas, the Learning Management System for our online programs.
  • Student account creation and enrollment in Canvas
  • Work with IT on Zoom license assignments and management for the online programs
  • and CE events
  • Confirm Enrollments via CAMS and with Advisors for BA & MA
  • Keep track and manage the software and platform subscriptions and some
  • administrative tasks, including but not limited to Canvas user accounts creation, Zoom,
  • Vimeo, iContact, and etc..
  • Office supply maintenance and order
  • Process P.Os approved by the department head
  • Provide administrative support to other members in DE.
  • Occasionally, support faculty with their needs in conducting online teaching if needed
  • Other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior job experience in administration and/or academia.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer fluency with basic office and education software and platform.
  • Responsible, organized, patient. Have self-discipline in work quality and
  • continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
