OVERVIEW:  Responsible for interpreting electrical schematics, shop orders, and computer ordering and inventory program.  Document performance discrepancies, parts ordering and inspection recording. Troubleshoot based on electrical test results.  Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

•   Perform related electrician duties working in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems
•   Program electronic controllers, especially Siemens controllers
•   Act as lead worker to other classified staff in the area
•   Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments
•   Maintain and repair fire, alarm, clock, programmable lighting and access systems
•   Test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency
•   Plan the layout and wiring of new or remodeled installations
•   Fabricate electrical parts
•   Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations
•   Conduct functional testing

• Consistently provides high level of customer service communications and behaviors (Includes Internal and External customers).

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the Electrician must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required. 

EDUCATION: Journeyman Electrician or two years electrical training

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:   Ability to read complex wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, safety rules, code books and specifications.   Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read electrical schematics required.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to perform basic addition/subtraction/multiplication/division using American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance. 

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carrying out instructions; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Current and valid driver’s license
• Current and valid electrical license or certificate

WAGE & Hours:
• $15 per hr or commensurate with experience

• 4:45 AM to 1:15 PM
• 8:15 PM to 4:45 AM
• But must be flexible . Lots of OT available 

Position is possible 90 days temp to hire or a possible direct hire.
