Our client in Montezuma, IA is looking for a Library Director. This position will be a temp-to-hire position working 32-40 hours a week. Prior librarian experience required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle day to day functions of the library
  • Oversee library staff
  • Ensure all library functions are running smoothly
  • Report to the library board for the library operations


  • Prior librarian experience *required*
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public library functions
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practice of public administration as applied to a public library
  • Thorough ability in oral and written communications
  • Knowledge of how to administer activities of a public library and to supervise the work of others
  • Strong computer skills
  • Positive attitude!
