JOB OBJECTIVE:

Maintain systems and equipment through analytical troubleshooting and by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, lockout tag out; comply with legal codes and regulations.
  • Adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Ensures proper communication between shifts for unified maintenance department functionality.
  • Provide timely information to other departments as required
  • Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
  • Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by maintaining and improving the preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment through analytical troubleshooting; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
  • Maintains maintenance department documentation as required.
  • Others duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.

JOB MEASUREMENTS:

Reduce maintenance-related production down time; reduction of plant system failures.
Wear proper PPE
Ability to take direction from Supervisor
Attendance
Good housekeeping 

HOURS OF WORK:

  • 2nd shift 3PM -11PM, Mon - Fri with some weekends
  • 3rd shift 11PM – 7AM, Mon – Fri with some weekends

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics background; read and comprehend electrical and hydraulic schematics.

  • Managing Work - effectively managing one’s time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently

BACKGROUND/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work safely in a foundry environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to be exposed to weather, extreme heat and airborne particulates.
  • Occasionally required to work extended hours.
  • Must be comfortable with higher elevations for certain areas of the facility.
