OVERVIEW
This position is for responsible building sustainable, dues-paying relationships with the business community.  This is done through a variety of methods including, but not limited to, personal visits, production of events, committee leadership, and maintenance of various communication platforms and channels maintained by the Clinton Area Chamber.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Relationship-building.
• Build relationships with the existing members that reinforce the value of Chamber membership and encourages reinvestment in the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce
• Actively solicit businesses to invest in Chamber membership and provide mentorship (personally and through the Ambassador committee) to new members.
• Provide professional leadership in the production of Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce Events
• Manage the various communication platforms and channels maintained by the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce.
• Oversee the Events Committee, the Ambassador Committee, and other ad hoc committees as may be formed.  Work together with committees and staff to promote success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule and execute successful member ribbon cuttings and groundbreaking events.
• Manage the Chamber website, Facebook, and all other social meeting accounts.
• Work with Administrative Services Coordinator to successfully produce the Chamber's monthly newsletter.
• Schedule and execute member retention and sales visits according to a strategic work plan.
• Assist Chamber President & CEO and Chamber Business Manager in the successful collection of accounts receivable;
• Provide professional leadership of Chamber volunteers to produce Chamber events;
• Other duties as assigned by the Chamber President & CEO.

SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB
• Genuine ability to connect with people and form relationships.
• Strong and professional people, phone, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in computer (Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as social media platforms).
• Must be a team player, able to recruit and lead volunteers.
• Must be able to show creativity and strategic initiative in a dynamic environment.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB
• Graduation (or graduation within 12 months of date of hire) from a four-year college or university with a degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field.
• Two years of professional work experience preferred.

WEIGHT LIFTING (OR OTHER PHYSICAL) REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:
• Physical requirement are those of a typical office setting
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be necessary depending upon CVB or other Chamber events and work initiatives.

LICENSING, RESIDENCY, OR OTHER SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Valid drivers' license and proof of insurance required

SALARY AND BONUS
• Commensurate with experience.  Please include salary expectations at time of application

LOCATION
• Clinton

HOURS
• Full time, M-F 8am -4:30pm
