Part-time credit union teller opening, approximately 29 hours per week spread over five days.   8 hours on Friday’s and then varied hours other days. Applicants being consider need to anticipate working 3 hours most Saturdays.  Hours can be increased if willing to work other locations.   Must have excellent personal credit.

OVERVIEW
Provide exceptional member services by greeting members, completing transactions, problem solving with members in an efficient, courteous manner.  Handle currency, coin and negotiable items.  Project a professional image to members.  Maintain confidentiality, regarding all member transactions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain and balance cash and daily work accurately.
• Complete member transactions accurately.
• Open and close member accounts.
• Process night drop.
• Complete deposit verification.
• Process mail payments.
• Balance ATM machine.
• Balance vault.
• Open and close office.
• Credit/Debit card advances.
• Sort and encode all checks correctly.
• Cash savings bonds.
• Image recording as required.
• Help members with problems or questions and know where to refer them.
• Promote services and products.
• Attend all meetings as required.
• Maintain clean and professional work area and appearance.
• Maintain positive public relations and promote credit union within the community.
• Respond to member phone calls and inquiries.
• Complete educational programs as required.

• Perform the following commitments of service to each and every member at all times:
o Make a good first impression, be dressed professionally and greet people with a smile and a firm handshake.
o Keep a smile in my voice as well as on my face.
o Answer the phone by the third ring.
o Call people by name and thank them.
o Give people my full and undivided attention; focus on the person face to face and on the telephone.
o Take responsibility for solving the individual's problems instead of referring it to someone else.
o Deliver on commitments of action(s) to be taken, so excuses won't be necessary.
o Follow through on necessary action(s) to be sure the problem is solved.
o Know that what's important is not only who or what created the problem but how the problem can be corrected.
o Protect confidential information.

HOURS 
Will more than likely work 5 days a week. Ex: 8 hrs on Friday would be fairly common along with the 3 hours on Saturdays and a few days to work over the lunch times for a 4 hour time period.  Hours would be 24-29 each week.

WAGE
$11.75 per hour
