OVERVIEW
This is a Full-time Temp-to-Hire job opportunity working as a Cook in a college cafeteria in Fairfield, IA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare organic vegan meals in a college cafeteria, following menu’s recipes,
-
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
-
Keep food waste to a minimum
-
Maintain routine meal schedules and serving times
-
Clean and maintain the kitchen facility in a safe and sanitary manner including floors, walls, all equipment and utensils
SKILL SETS REQUIRED
-
Reliable and dependable
-
Good oral communication skills
-
Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop
-
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
-
Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

High School Diploma/Equivalent
-
Previous experience in cooking a plus
WORK HOURS/SHIFT
-
Full-time (40 hours per week) Noon to 8PM, Tues to Saturday
