OVERVIEW

Completes degree audits for graduate and undergraduate students and programs; assists Graduation Coordinator in processing graduation applications and maintaining the student graduation lists; manages student documents and folders; updates and maintains the degree audit records; provides excellent customer service to students, alumni, faculty, and staff while maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and security of the University’s academic records.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform degree audits for students in all programs and assist in creating an automated degree audit system.
  • Consult with the academic departments regarding the integration of transfer credits and non-coursework within the degree audit process; responsible for processing program waivers and substitutions; adjust student’s degree plan, as necessary.
  • Review, update, and maintains degree audit records in the enrollment database; verify graduation status of students.
  • Collaborate with advisors, faculty, and staff to ensure the student’s major requirements and the General College requirements. 
  • Interpret and enforce institutional policies and procedures as they relate to the operations of the Office of Registrar.
  • Follow quality control standards by inputting correct data into the database, updating graduation dates and student status.
  • Work closely with Graduation Coordinator and assist them in maintaining the student graduation lists, overseeing the graduation applications and making sure all the requirements are met for graduation.
  • Uphold FERPA regulations ensuring, maintaining, and administering student privacy rights.
  • Assist the Registrar in the development of and support of effective policies and processes that promote equality. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least two years of professional-level experience in a dynamic office environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and ability to learn new software.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience working with degree audit systems in a higher education setting, particularly a Registrar’s Office academic advising, and curriculum evaluation preferred.
  • Knowledge of FERPA guidelines.
  • Ability to apply academic policy and procedures as it applies to the academic records evaluation process.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive material professionally.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow through independently.
  • Ability to learn and apply complex academic policies and procedures.
  • Ability to engage collaboratively to enhance student success.

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

  • Monday-Friday 9:30 – 4:30

           

WAGE/SALARY

  • $15.00
