OVERVIEW
This is a Full-Time Temp-to-Hire job opportunity at a food manufacturing facility in Burlington that requires weekends and overnights as needed. This position will be responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to maintain production and quality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requires on tool, systems, and machines.
• Locates source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hand/power tool
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Repairs machinery and mechanical equipment promptly to minimize downtime in production
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience and knowledge of electrical systems including PLC Operation
• Experience with maintenance and repair of pneumatics, welding, and boiler operations
• Ability to work independently
• Dependable and reliable
• Responsible and able to take pride and responsibility for your work
• Mechanical aptitude
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an industrial maintenance position and/or a combination of 2 years of experience/training/education
WORK HOURS/SHIFT
• 1st shift 6:30 am – 5:00 pm (may vary)
• Weekends and nights as needed
WAGE
• $28-$33/hr, DOQ
