A local nonprofit is looking for a Programs Manager to add to their team! Hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Fridays 8am-3pm with occasional evening events.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for the design and implementation of programs within the organization’s policies, state compliance, and national standards, including fund establishment, granting, scholarships, awards, and other programs.
• Manages and serves as the expert of grant and scholarship programs, providing leadership, training, and assistance to committees, schools, and organizations.
• Primary contact with clients and potential clients for on-going granting and scholarship communications. Frequent contact to inform, collect, and confirm information needed for eligibility and award decisioning.
• Coordinate grant and scholarship committee meetings, communicate with selection committees and provide necessary supportive documents in the review and decision-making process, and ensure meetings are documented.
• Conduct due diligence for nonprofit eligibility to receive grants. Process grant and scholarship award communications. Plans award ceremonies and related events in coordination with Communications Coordinator and Director of Marketing.
• Monitor the progress of awarded grants and scholarships including the submission of reports, subsequent payments, and other related correspondence with grantee organizations.
• Acts as topic and compliance resource on fund, grant, and scholarship development, donors, and recipients.
• Create, enter, and maintain fund, grant, scholarship, donor information, and files to meet legal, audit, and policy requirements.
• Works in conjunction with the Communications Coordinator and Director of Marketing to maintain updated fund, grant, and scholarship information on website, media, and printed marketing materials.
• Provide continuous administrative support for all program and service areas of the organization including donor, financial, and nonprofit services.
• Provide regular and ad hoc metrics and program reports.
• Identify and communicate recommendations for improvement in processes and strategies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or beyond, preferred.
• Ability to process a high volume of information with a high level of accuracy and problem solving.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office support software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with proven ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Self-motivated and results oriented with a proven ability to achieve ambitious goals.
• Ability to work with limited supervision, and as part of a team and to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities effectively.
• An affinity for philanthropy, the role of non-profits in strengthening communities, and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
