OVERVIEW
Direct Supervision of assigned Quality Department personnel. Ensure that production lines, as well as our suppliers, are in conformance with customer requirements. Ensure the Company’s Quality procedures are in compliance with all ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Handle the development of Work Instructions, quality related SOP’s and documentation for the Quality Department and Operations team
-
Direct responsibility for the audits of production, finishing and inspection procedures to specified standards
-
Read and understand technical drawings and specifications
-
Use measuring devices (micrometer, caliper, height vernier etc.) to ensure conformity of incoming and outgoing material
-
Assist in conducting Root Cause Analysis and working with the resolution team to create a clear path forward to prevent future issues
-
Assist with 5S and ISO audits
-
Make customer visits. Occasionally perform sort in house and at the customer end
-
Train operators on blueprints and certify them
-
Perform inspection on incoming material
-
Conduct detailed measurement analysis on PPAP parts
-
Conduct lab testing which involves Salt spray testing, Humidity testing, ASTM testing for painted products
-
Calibrate attribute gages, measuring devices on timely basis
-
Work with Quality Manager on PPM reduction and scrap reduction projects
-
Identify, develop, implement, and monitor projects for continuous improvement
-
Provide support and input to in development of Work Instructions, Process
-
Flowcharts, PFMEA, Control Plans, Reaction Plans
-
Enforce plant policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreement (where applicable)

Encourage continued education. (GED, College Classes, Seminars, etc.)

Communicate directly with the customer & suppliers on concerns and issues
-
Define and implement corrective and preventive action in response to Customer Complaints per specified guidelines, including the use of “Poke Yoke” and Six Sigma
-
Make proactive and reactive customer visits. Occasionally perform sort at customer end
-
Assist in tasks associated with new product development or launch as part of the PPAP process
-
Achieve a full understanding of the products, ensuring that all QA systems are applied and followed
-
Provide defect analysis. Identify, validate, and assist in the elimination of the causes for internal/external defects
-
Ensure that quality reports and pertinent information are communicated daily basis
-
Conduct frequent line checks
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
-
Preferably a minimum of 3 years quality work experience in a manufacturing environment
-
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other applicable software
-
ISO Certification preferred
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred
