Overview
General labor for Installation and removal of telecommunications plant, associated equipment, and other tasks such as drop buries, vaults installations, coax drop termination, aerial drop removal and provide assistance on projects as required.


Specific Responsibilities
1. Perform customer drop installation and removal functions for communication services.
a. Hand digging to install communication services, expose utility or obstructions.
b. Working around and with drop bury machinery.
c. Removal of decommissioned overhead services.
d. Removal of decommissioned coax lines from customer premise and commercial facilities.
e. Ensure all paperwork and documentation is updated and completed.
2. General construction functions
a. Cable Installation into conduits, attics, and walls
b. Hand dig as required for utility equipment.


Other Responsibilities
1. Assist Telecommunications Technicians for construction projects.
2. Inspection and verification of contractor installed quantities and craftsmanship.


Qualifications
Knowledge
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. General labor experience
3. Working knowledge of computers, mobile devices, and other networked devices.

Other Position Requirements
1. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
2. Must be able to attend work on a regular basis, work overtime as needed, and participate in a rotating stand-by schedule.


Work Environment
1. Work environment is primarily in customer locations or at outdoor job sites throughout the community. Part of each day is spent in an office environment. Fieldwork is performed in all weather conditions.
2. Must be able to climb ladders and work from elevated platform or bucket trucks for extended periods under various types of weather/seasonal conditions.
3. Must comply with all safety and site rules at all locations.

Hours
Mon-Fri; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (some overtime may be available) 

Pay
$15/hour
