General Production - Wapello

OVERVIEW
Individual will be performing various tasks within a variety of production area(s) as needed. This will require the ability to operate various equipment and tools with training available on the job.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
Job duties will include but not limited to:
• Operating a variety of machines such as: punch press, hydraulic press, brake press drill press, rollform, powder coat paint line and welding
• Moving and maneuvering carts and coils of  steel
• Performing quality checks on steel for proper length using various gages and calibers
• Performing visual inspection of completed parts for quality and production defects
• Must be able to complete accurate daily production  paperwork
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS/ ABILITIES
•Job requires a motivated, self-starter with initiative and a positive attitude. Individual must be dependable and have mechanical abilities to produce quality parts in a fast paced manufacturing operation. Job requires an individual who is conscientious about safety and quality.

SHIFTS
•1st shift – 4:30 am – 1:00 pm (Mon-Fri) overtime when required and some Saturdays
•2nd shift – 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm (Mon-Fri) overtime when required and some Saturdays

WAGE
•1st/2nd shift – starting wage $11.55 / hour

Maintenance - Wapello

Conducts daily maintenance of buildings, machinery, and equipment on the assigned shift. Must be knowledgeable of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, and associated equipment such as pumps, fans, heaters, compressors, etc. Helps to minimize production machine down-time by promptly responding to problems that arise.


Specific Duties
• Responsible for the quantity and quality fo work performed on the assigned shift.
• Assist mechanics in trouble shooting machine and equipment problems
• Ensure that the department has the necessary tools and equipment to complete assigned jobs.
• Assist in plant shut down and start up situations
• Maintain ISO and machine documentation
• Responsible for cleanliness of the maintenance shop on the assigned shift


Qualifications
• A.S. degree in an electrical or mechanical field or practical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

• 6:30 am – 3 pm

MIG Welder - Wilton, IA

OVERVIEW
Wilton, Iowa manufacturer of cold finished steel bars in Wilton is in need of 1st and 2nd shift MIG welders.

DESCRIPTION
Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless steel parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
  • Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
  • MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
  • Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
  • Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
  • Follow all company rules and policies
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Prepare product for shipment
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually (up to 60 pounds), or using a hoist
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel required
  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding highly preferred
  • Experience with CNC press breaks, CNC folding machines and automatic saws highly preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Ability to identify and measure material
  • Ability to produce quality products consistently
  • Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form
  • Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges

WAGE

  • $13/hr

HOURS

  • 1st shift  5am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
  • 2nd shift 3pm-1:30am Monday-Friday
