MIG Welder - Wilton, IA

Wilton, Iowa manufacturer of cold finished steel bars in Wilton is in need of MIG welders.

Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless steel parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.

Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor
Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
Follow all company rules and policies
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
Follow all safety rules and quality standards
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Prepare product for shipment
Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually (up to 60 pounds), or using a hoist
Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above

Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel required
Experience with MIG and TIG welding highly preferred
Experience with CNC press breaks, CNC folding machines and automatic saws highly preferred
Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Ability to identify and measure material
Ability to produce quality products consistently
Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form
Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges


1st shift     5am-3:30pm         Monday-Friday
2nd shift   3:15pm-1:45am    Monday-Friday
Some Saturdays may be required

• Prefer certification in 6G 2” Schedule 80 BI pipe
• Know and demonstrate the proper use, care and inspections of all P.P.E and safety harness.

A local organization is looking for a Finance Assistant for a long-term position.  This position may become permanent.  Working hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with a pay of $15/hr. 
This position is responsible for day-to-day managerial and cost reporting functions associated with materials of the facility.  This position is also responsible for reporting activities associated with projects, cash receiving, and internal audit functions.

• Prepare weekly deposits of miscellaneous collections and reconcile reporting
• Together with Managers generate monthly reporting analysis including cost variance analysis and analytical consumption detail.
• Consult with product vendors confirming consumption of inventory products; ensure consumption information is correctly documented and participate in count processes.
• Reconcile and audit receiving reports to sub-ledger and general ledger systems.
• Coordinate, establish, and maintain work orders for use in tracking projects; meet with Project Managers and Project Engineers to identify current and potential future spending variances.   Evaluate and report changes to monthly expense charges and based on spending activity within work orders.  Evaluate all discrepancies including overspending and amounts not properly allocated in monthly spending reports.
• Communicate with external services; reconcile, compare, and document billing information.
• Analyze raw materials and supply inventories; verify purchase order pricing of materials.
• Confirm receiving information for materials used in the manufacturing process; validate data is accurate and supported by systems; perform test counts to confirm inventory.

• Minimum of two year degree in accounting is required.  Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in a cost accounting environment is preferred.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated skill set working with spreadsheets and word processing software is required.
