HOSE ASSEMBLY

OVERVIEW
This is a Temp-to-Hire job opportunity at a manufacturing facility in Burlington responsible for preparing tubing for shipment.  Will use various tools and techniques to conform to standard operating procedures and optimize program for efficient use of equipment and material.  Ability to ensure quality product.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Read work order instruction and performs work as assigned by work order sheet
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to department
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and followed prescribed safety regulations
• Use of compressed air gun to remove contaminants, apply necessary fittings, O-rings, oil, caps and plugs, and inspect finished product prior to packing for shipment
• Pack finished goods into correct packages and place produce into designated pallets

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Repetitive motion: Heavy grasping, frequent forceful grasping, pushing and pulling
• May be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, vibration, chemical and noise exposure
• Equipment used – includes but not limited to screwdriver, hammer, various size wrenches, calipers, tape measures, and various pneumatic and hydraulic tools
• Safety; General safety – Glasses and steel toes must be worn at all times
• Frequently required to stand and walk
• Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds – occasionally up to 50 pounds, rarely over 51 pounds

WORK HOURS/SHIFT
• Monday – Saturday
• 7:00 am to 3:30 pm 40 hours $14 - + Sat OT 5am-1pm
• 3:30pm to 12:00 am 40 hours $15/hr + Sat OT 1pm-9pm

WAGE
• 1st Shift - $14
• 2nd shift- $15

Temp to hire position in Wapello – very light industrial work


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hanging tubes (up to 8lbs) on the paint line or taking them off and putting them on carts
  • Gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • After experienced in hanging tubes, may learn to run a punch press or other machine
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS                    

  • Ability to work efficiently with hands
  • Ability to understand and work with a variety of hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

 

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

  • 1st shift – 5:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)
  • 2nd shift – 2pm-10:30pm (Mon-Fri)

 

WAGE

  • $14.00 - $15.00

OVERVIEW

This is a Temp-to-Hire job opportunity at a manufacturing facility in Burlington.  Entry level welding position.  Prior welding experience NOT required.  Willing to train.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lays out, positions, and secures part and assemblies according to specifications using straightedge combination square, calipers, and ruler
  • Welds components and assemblies using  welding equipment
  • Welds components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
  • Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS                    

  • Dependable and reliable
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
  • Strong hand/eye coordination
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn to read and decipher blueprints and other written drawings and models

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Prior welding experience and/or educational training in welding trade a plus, but not required
  • AWS Certified not required, but could result in a higher wage.

 

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

  • 1st and 2nd shift opportunities available

 

WAGE

  • $13.00 - $20.00, DOQ
