JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Degree Audit and Graduation Specialist

OVERVIEW

Completes degree audits for graduate and undergraduate students and programs; assists Graduation Coordinator in processing graduation applications and maintaining the student graduation lists; manages student documents and folders; updates and maintains the degree audit records; provides excellent customer service to students, alumni, faculty, and staff while maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and security of the University’s academic records.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform degree audits for students in all programs and assist in creating an automated degree audit system.
  • Consult with the academic departments regarding the integration of transfer credits and non-coursework within the degree audit process; responsible for processing program waivers and substitutions; adjust student’s degree plan, as necessary.
  • Review, update, and maintains degree audit records in the enrollment database; verify graduation status of students.
  • Collaborate with advisors, faculty, and staff to ensure the student’s major requirements and the General College requirements. 
  • Interpret and enforce institutional policies and procedures as they relate to the operations of the Office of Registrar.
  • Follow quality control standards by inputting correct data into the database, updating graduation dates and student status.
  • Work closely with Graduation Coordinator and assist them in maintaining the student graduation lists, overseeing the graduation applications and making sure all the requirements are met for graduation.
  • Uphold FERPA regulations ensuring, maintaining, and administering student privacy rights.
  • Assist the Registrar in the development of and support of effective policies and processes that promote equality. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least two years of professional-level experience in a dynamic office environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and ability to learn new software.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience working with degree audit systems in a higher education setting, particularly a Registrar’s Office academic advising, and curriculum evaluation preferred.
  • Knowledge of FERPA guidelines.
  • Ability to apply academic policy and procedures as it applies to the academic records evaluation process.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive material professionally.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow through independently.
  • Ability to learn and apply complex academic policies and procedures.

Job Summary

Create quality multimedia contents, including but not limited to the filming of video lectures in the studio, and work with faculty on recordings remotely. Take pre-recorded course videos and refine and edit them in post-production to meet the academic and instructional design standards. Ensuring the correct formatting and presentation of videos according to the specific client's needs and University guidelines.

 

Job Responsibilities

  1. Create, search and design graphics for online course contents.
  2. Gather and transfer all forms of media, including basic animation and graphic design, for online courses at the University. Including filming in the studio or field for academic lectures and videos needed by the online courses. 
  3. Conduct postproduction, graphic, and video editing while improving the quality of the product.
  4. Provide project management support of the online course's media development section, including managing all technical aspects of video recording and editing.
  5. Conduct media inventory and equipment management.
  6. Provide instructions and support to faculty on media content development in person or online.
  7. Collaborate closely with instructional designer and faculty to achieve the desired result of media contents for a course.
  8. Explore new skills, software, platform in media development in the area of online learning to improve and refine the current process.
  9. Master media-related software and platform adopted by the University
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • Experienced with video work in the studio.
  • Working knowledge of video production equipment.
  • Working knowledge of video editing and postproduction software (Final Cut, Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond, Camtasia, Echo360 and etc.)
  • Experience with online course platform, software, and content development preferred.
  • Attention to details; and ability to work independently or on a team.

Student Support Specialist

OVERVIEW

Full-time position at local college, provide onboarding and general support to students enrolled in the online Master’s programs to enhance the student’s overall satisfaction and learning experience in the program from the beginning to the end, with the ultimate goal of retention and increased graduation rate.

  • Provide proactive and individualized assistance while answer inquiries about online courses and programs from current and prospective students.
  •  Collaborate with the Admissions Office to proactively advise online students, navigating registration processes.
  •  Work with multiple departments to facilitate efficient information flow.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the online students while coordinate with instructors, TAs, and other academic and administrative departments as needed to provide additional assistance.
  •  Assist student’s onboarding process to online course/program. Including enroll students in LMS (Canvas) and other software/platforms used.
  •  Coordinate with instructional designers and other department members to identify opportunities to improve the online student experience and make recommendations for improved service delivery.
