FINISH WORKER - CANTRIL

OVERVIEW

This is a long-term assignment at a premier manufacturing facility in Cantril, Iowa. You will be responsible for the assembly and finish of products at the end of the manufacturing process. 

 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembly of products
  • Perfecting and enhancing the product’s final appearance
  • Prepares surfaces by grinding, filing or sanding
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment
  • Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Be a self-starter
  • Willingness to help out wherever needed
  • Operate metal brakes, shears and hand tools
  • Sand and buff to remove surface defects

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS               

  • Ability to work efficiently with hands
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to read prints
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments including tape measure
  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Precision and attention to detail is essential
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent not required but helpful

 

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

  • Monday – Friday , 7am to 5pm

 

WAGE

  • Depending on Experience $15-18/hour

OVERVIEW

This job opportunity is with a well-established plastics manufacturing facility in Fairfield.   This is considered light industrial work, with work duties rotation so there is always something different to do.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares work by studying assembly instructions and parts lists
  • Gathers parts & tools as needed
  • Maintains safe and clean working
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS                    

  • Ability to work efficiently with hands
  • Reliable and dependable with the ability to be at work on time everyday
  • Ability to understand and work with a variety of hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Compliance and attention to all safety regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

  • 1st Shift  7:00 am – 3:30 pm
  • 2nd Shift 3:00 – 11:30 pm
  • 3rd Shift 11 pm - 7:30 am

 

WAGE

  • $14.50 - $17.25/hr

This job opportunity is with a plastics manufacturing facility in Fairfield.  In this position you will operate Rotomold machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems.   

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Rotomold machines to ensure production of quality products and perform audits, weights, and quality checks.
  • Adhere to quality control and to blow mold process procedure
  • Make adjustments to meet product specifications
  • Grind/trim excess materials from products

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS                    

  • Dependable and reliable
  • Strong mathematical and problem solving abilities
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Strong hand/eye coordination

  • 3rd Shift 11p-7a $17.00/hr.

  • Working on a variety of machines and in various areas
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces
