FORKLIFT OPERATOR

OVERVIEW

This is a temp to hire position at a well known company in Marshalltown, IA. This position would be operating a forklift throughout a warehouse. Prior experience preferred, but not required.   

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Moving product from staging area to loading area per work orders
  • Follow proper handling procedure of the goods
  • Responsible for conducting regular inspection of the forklift to ensure its safety and ability of performing operations
  • Verifying the loaded material with the order that is provided
  • Coordinating work with the warehouse staff and efficiently carrying out the orders of the supervisor

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS                     

  • Ability to efficiently coordinate work with co-workers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet targets and deadlines
  • Ability to follow the safety and procedures of handling goods and supplies

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Forklift certification and/or experience with forklift preferred

 

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

  • 3rd Shift  Sunday – Thursday 10:30pm – 7:00am with potential for daily OT and Friday OT
  • Will train on days for approximately 2 weeks
  • Overtime as needed

 

WAGE

  • $18-18.50/hr

This is a full-time job opportunity that is considered Temp-to-Hire in Marshalltown.  You will be working for a well establish call center troubleshooting and answering customer questions via phone, e-mail and web chat. Various shift options to choose from morning, afternoon or evenings, some weekends may be required.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Answering incoming support calls and e-support contacts
  • Generate and record accurate activity records in the appropriate tracking systems
  •  Perform appropriate telephone support to ensure that customer questions are answered completely

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer literacy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other types of CRM software
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills
  •  Active listening skills
  •  Ability to troubleshoot
  •  Dependability, adaptability & flexibility
  •  Ability to follow policy and procedures
  • Must be Bi-lingual in English and Spanish

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Experience working in customer service call center and/or an office setting is a plus but not required

WORK HOURS/SHIFT:

Various shift available. Some weekends required

 

WAGE:

$16.50 per hour
