Our Grinnell client is looking for a temp to hire Metal Fabricator.  Our client is one of the country’s leading suppliers to contractors of commercial and industrial sheet metal ductwork. This is a 30 day contracted position with potential to be hired on to client company after that period.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating machines, such as press brakes, roll formers and shears.  Welding including MIG & TIG *must be certified*   

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior machine operation (press brakes, roll formers, and sheers) and welding (MIG & TIG).  Experience with sheet metal, stainless and galvanized steel. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• HS Diploma or GED
• MIG and TIG Welding experience (sheet metal, steel, aluminum experience)
• Machine Operator Experience

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

• Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm Some overtime is required

WAGE

• $19.99-21.32/hr.

BACKGROUND SCREENING/REQUIREMENTS:

• Background check and drug screen required.

This is a temp to hire position in Newton, IA.  This requires you to lift 35lbs repetitively. Position starts immediately!

• Lifting, sorting, and boxing printed materials
• Keeping area clean and orderly
• Other duties as may be assigned by management

Our Client Company in Newton, IA is looking to hire several career welders.  Fort his position  you must have experience in welding, and also assembly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welds components and assemblies using welding equipment
• Lays out, positions, and secures part and assemblies according to specifications using straightedge combination square, calipers, and ruler
• Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
• Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments
• Melts lead bar, wire, or scrap to add lead to join or to extrude melted scrap into reusable form
• Set up jigs and fixtures according to blueprints and work instructions
• Assembly parts according to blueprints and work instructions
• Other duties as may be assigned by management

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS                    

• Ability to work efficiently with hands
• Welding experience
• At least 6 months prior welding experience
• Reliable and dependable with the ability to be at work on time everyday
• Knowledge and ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of setting jigs and fixtures
• Ability to function as a team member
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Pre employment background screen and drug testing required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Prior welding experience in some capacity

WAGE

• $20.30-21.57/hr.

SHIFT

• 6am – 2:30pm Monday – Friday some overtime REQUIRED
