OVERVIEW
Individual will be performing various tasks within a variety of production area(s) as needed. This will require the ability to operate various equipment and tools with training available on the job.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
Job duties will include but not limited to:

  • Operating a variety of machines such as: punch press, hydraulic press, brake press drill press, rollform, powder coat paint line and welding
  • Moving and maneuvering carts and coils of  steel
  • Performing quality checks on steel for proper length using various gages and calibers
  • Performing visual inspection of completed parts for quality and production defects
  • Must be able to complete accurate daily production  paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS/ ABILITIES

  • Job requires a motivated, self-starter with initiative and a positive attitude. Individual must be dependable and have mechanical abilities to produce quality parts in a fast paced manufacturing operation. Job requires an individual who is conscientious about safety and quality.

SHIFTS

  • 1st shift – 5:30 am – 2:00 pm (Mon-Fri) overtime when required and some Saturdays
  • 2nd shift – 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm (Mon-Fri) overtime when required and some Saturdays

WAGE

  • 1st shift: $14/hr
  • 2nd shift $15/hr *NEW!

Material Handler-Warehouse

OVERVIEW
A local logistics company is seeking warehouse help related to repackaging, receipt, shipping, storage, and distribution. These positions will also assist in loading, unloading, and moving or storing items by hand or equipment according to delivery, routing, or supervisor instructions. Positions are 1st or 2nd shift (2nd shift will train on 1st shift for a few weeks), and could lead to full-time employment with the company!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Count items received and verify them against packaging lists, recording any discrepancies, or damage
  • Re-pack material or product
  • Ability to read documents and/or follow a verbal instruction to determine how the order is to be shipped
  • Lift heavy objects by hand truck or forklift or other material handling equipment
  • Enter all information required on the shipping or receiving documents
  • Check forklifts daily, prior to use for any unsafe conditions
  • Load and unload  trucks with material
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, and attend training classes when required

Saw Operator & Production-Durant, IA

OVERVIEW
Company in Durant, IA that specializes in Iron and Metals is currently hiring for Saw Operator/Production positions! Hours are available on multiple shifts!

The Saw Operator must follow all OSHA and safety guidelines while operating the saw. Employee responsibilities will include but are not limited to: performing duties in a safe and efficient manner, properly use and wear required personal protective equipment as directed by the PPE Assessment/ Hazard Analysis for the position, report all accidents, incidents and unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor immediately, make on-the-spot corrections of unsafe conditions with-in their capabilities, make on-the-spot corrections to employees performing unsafe acts, and set a good safety example. All employees will be held accountable for violations of safety policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Position the steel and secure the steel onto the machine and will use a vice to ensure the steel will be secured on the table.
  • Utilize hand tools to adjust the steel to ensure quality of the cut. The operator may push; pull to adjust the steel on the table.
  • Adjust the controls to set and regulate machining factors, such as pressure, speed and angle of the saw.
  • Monitor and inspect the saw while cutting the steel to ensure proper cut and difficulty while cutting, inspect the blade before and after each cut to ensure the blades effectiveness.
  • Count and record finished goods and handle the shipping instructions. Operator must tag and mark finished goods and drop material and place the drop material into the proper area.

  • Use a banding machine and/or crimper for banding finished materials and drops
  • Dump waste material in a tub to be scrapped
  • Stack material according to ANSI standards for steel fabrication shops, fabricating structural steel and steel plate safety requirements
  • Use bolt cutters, band cutters, crowbars and other hand tools to perform the essential job functions
  • Must read a tape measure and micrometer

  • 4a-noon (Mon-Fri)
  • 6a-2p (Mon-Fri)
  • 9a-5p (Mon-Fri)
  • 3rd shift: 8p-6a (Sun-Th)
     
  • 12 hr Rotating Schedule; 6a-6p ($20/hr):This shift requires being flexed between warehouse & production areas

A local utility company is looking for an Industrial Janitor to work at their power plant. This is a temporary position working approximately 6-9 months. Work schedule is M-F, 5:30 am - 2:00 pm, 40 hours per week (some overtime may be available). Pay: $15.00/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform cleaning of Generation Site facilities including office areas, rest rooms, plant areas and grounds.

  • Perform minor plumbing repairs such as replacement of faucets, shower heads, sink and toilet drains and trap replacements.

  • Attends all regularly scheduled safety meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience with light mechanical/plumbing repairs.
