A manufacturer of harvesting components is hiring for a 1st shift material handler/paint booth position. This company in located in Durant, IA.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and parts utilizing pneumatic painting equipment and paint booth
- Utilize overhead cranes, straps and rigging, fork lifts and other tools to handle material throughout the facility including loading & unloading shipping racks and trucks according to production schedules
- Ensure that you are painting according to common best practices and meet all safety guidelines including the use of a respirator
- Clean up machine parts and work stations after finished production orders, comply with 5S audits
- Assemble products according to standard work
- Achieve production goals set out by production planning and leadership
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor and management

- Minimum 1 year painting and/or experience in a production setting
- Solid understanding of standard work and documentation procedures in manufacturing
- Ability to read, understand and apply production blue prints, assembly instructions, and quality plans
- Ability to inspect work according to defined instructions utilizing basic inspection gages such as tape measures, paint gages, etc.
- Demonstrate reliable work and attendance history
- Ability to work in team environment, multiple roles based on changing work schedules
- Manual lifting/handling up to 70 pounds repetitive and handle sharp objects carefully
- Positive attitude
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to take direction
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing shop floor environment and understanding of shop floor safety practices and work roles

  • Operating a variety of machines such as: punch press, hydraulic press, brake press drill press, rollform, powder coat paint line and welding
  • Moving and maneuvering carts and coils of  steel

Company in Durant, IA that specializes in Iron and Metals is currently hiring for 3rd shift Saw Operator positions! Hours are Monday through Friday (10 PM-6 AM).

The Saw Operator must follow all OSHA and safety guidelines while operating the saw. Employee responsibilities will include but are not limited to: performing duties in a safe and efficient manner, properly use and wear required personal protective equipment as directed by the PPE Assessment/ Hazard Analysis for the position, report all accidents, incidents and unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor immediately, make on-the-spot corrections of unsafe conditions with-in their capabilities, make on-the-spot corrections to employees performing unsafe acts , and set a good safety example. All employees will be held accountable for violations of safety policies and procedures.


  • Position the steel and secure the steel onto the machine and will use a vice to ensure the steel will be secured on the table.
  • Utilize hand tools to adjust the steel to ensure quality of the cut. The operator may push; pull to adjust the steel on the table.
  • Adjust the controls to set and regulate machining factors, such as pressure, speed and angle of the saw.
  • Monitor and inspect the saw while cutting the steel to ensure proper cut and difficulty while cutting, inspect the blade before and after each cut to ensure the blades effectiveness.
  • Count and record finished goods and handle the shipping instructions. Operator must tag and mark finished goods and drop material and place the drop material into the proper area.

  • Use a banding machine and/or crimper for banding finished materials and drops
  • Dump waste material in a tub to be scrapped
  • Stack material according to ANSI standards for steel fabrication shops, fabricating structural steel and steel plate safety requirements

  • Must read a tape measure and micrometer

Rework dumpers needed

Local grain processing plant is looking for some Dumpers


The daily duties of someone dumping sludge is to dump bags (50 – 55 lbs.) and totes (2000 lbs.) of out of spec Maltrin or Starch into a slurry tank to be pumped to the Distillery Dept. Individual will pick up the empty bags/totes and dispose of them in a trash compactor, then haul the used pallets to a scape pallet trailer and sweep the work area floor at the end of the work day. Individual will be required to drive a forklift for this task. If for some reason they cannot dump sludge on any given day they will work on clean up in the department.


Dependable and reliable.


M-F  7:00am-300am
M-F 3:00pm-11:00pm 


$13.55 an hour

• Inspect product to insure quality.
• Complete assembly of product by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machines cycles.

Fiber to the Home Temp Laborer

A local utility company is looking for a Fiber to the Home Temp Laborer. This position will be temporary working through the end of 2021. This position will be full-time hours working Monday through Friday, 1st shift. This position will pay $13.50/hr.


The FTTH Temp Labor team will identify and cut/remove old coax lines out of the vaults. These vaults will contain both fiber and legacy lines and it is a CRITICAL part of the job to not cut active fiber lines. The team will lay gravel inside vault if none is already there, neatly coil and mount fiber inside the vault, reseal the vault, add dirt to taper the transition from vault to ground level (if needed), then seed and hay the new dirt. Additionally, the team will take a GPS shot of the vault location and key data into a tablet.


  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Work as part of a self-directed crew.
  • Attention to detail, so as not to cut the fiber line.
  • Able to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Able to commit to working through the end of 2021.
  • Construction, manufacturing, laborer experience a plus.
  • Must comply with all safety and site rules at all locations.
