Overview
E&I Technicians respond to all electrical and instrumentation work in the plant. They work closely with the Production group to ensure electrical and control problems are isolated and repaired in an expedient manner. Technicians respond to electrical/control breakdown calls, troubleshoot/repair 480VAC power distribution problems, and troubleshoot/repair issues with the different control system platforms. This position is hourly and currently reports to the E&I Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Understand and comply with all plant rules and policies affecting work done by the E&I group.
• Understand and use proper PPE and following safe work practices
• The work done is in a plant environment, both inside and outside in all seasonal conditions. Must be able to climb stairs, work from elevated platforms and lifts, and be able to lift 50-lbs without assistance. Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Develop an understanding of plant processes to facilitate work involving process areas.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Acquire continuous education and training to provide up-to-date technical performance.
• Competently use basic computer software, including:
Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Sharepoint
• Able to understand, use, troubleshoot, and maintain process controls, including:
PLC’s (Allen-Bradley, Square D, Modicon Quantum). This includes the ability to work with PLC ladder logic and function block programming.
Distributed Control Systems (Provox, Delta V)
• Able to use, troubleshoot, and maintain motor drives, including:
Motor Control Centers (Allen-Bradley, Cutler Hammer, Square D)
Allen-Bradley VFD’s (Powerflex 70, Power Flex 700, 1336 Plus)
Allen-Bradley Soft Starts (SMC series)
• Able to use basic analyzers, including:
Fluke Test equipment
Handheld HART tools
• Understand, troubleshoot, and repair three-phase power distribution systems and equipment.
• Understand, troubleshoot, and repair hard-wired control circuits.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair all types of process instrumentation and control components, including:
Flow Transmitters (magnetic, vortex and D/P)
Level Transmitters (pressure, Radar, ultrasonic)
Temperature transmitters.
• Understand and comply with the National Electric Code
• Must have the ability to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies as the needs arise
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED
- 2 year maintenance Exp
WORK HOURS/SHIFT/Wage
- Swing shift. Monday through Sunday
- Full time with benefits
-$34.40-40.50hr
