ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

OVERVIEW
This position manages office operations by providing administrative support to the Executive Director and projecting a friendly and professional company image through in-person, email and phone interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcomes visitors by greeting them in a friendly & professional manner, in person, email or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
Forwards information by receiving and distributing communications delivered to the Welcome Center to the proper office.
Provides tours of the Welcome Center when requested.
Maintains office supplies and promotional products inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and notifying Executive Director if stock needs replenished; verifying receipt; and stocking items.
Maintains office schedule by having Welcome Center staffed during scheduled time. Responsible for opening and closing the Welcome Center when needed.
Maintains cleanliness of office by keeping workspace and building in a tidy and orderly condition. This will include cleaning windows, dusting, sweeping floors, mopping, etc.
Creating and modifying documents (letters, marketing material, brochures, etc.).  Prepare letters & labels for mailings.  Photocopying, mailing, faxing, filing, as needed.
Learning how to operate office equipment (copy machine, fax, phone, etc.) with proficiency.
Maintain database (Excel & Constant Contact) for Visitor Guide requests, event registrations, and special projects.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities provided by company.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, effectively communicate verbally and in writing, problem solve, work under deadlines, type a minimum of 40 WPM, be dependable, and present an appearance and demeanor of professionalism.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High School diploma preferred
Previous office experience preferred

WORK HOURS/SHIFT
Thurs & Fri, and a 3rd day, 8-4 with unpaid lunch

ATTIRE
Business Casual – Includes: khaki pants, slacks, skirts, blouses, short sleeved polo shirts, and long sleeved shirts. Excludes: jeans, tennis shoes, flip-flops, short skirts, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.  Exceptions may be made during special events.

DIETARY HELPER –PART-TIME- HOSPITAL

OVERVIEW
This is a part-time temp-to-hire job opportunity working as a dietary helper in a healthcare facility in Fairfield, IA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist where needed and as requested or required in the dept.
• Must have regular and punctual attendance.

• Maintains stock of salad bar during lunch hours
• Assists with serving customers during lunch hour
• Assists with cleanup of cafeteria and refilling of salad bar after lunch service is completed.
• Responsible for running the cash register, and on some occasions counting down the drawer at the end of the day
• Responsible for washing dishes.
• Will assist with serving patients for lunch and dinner meals as needed.

SAND UTILITY WORKER

Provide constant supply of molten metal for the sand foundry operation.  Pour molten metal into sand molds, and remove metal castings from molds and place on cart.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Following metal melting procedures and interpreting Quality Assurance spectrograph results, maintain a constant supply of molten aluminum for molders.
• Run Alu-Delta and specific gravity tests on the metal to insure correct modification and gas level.
• Pour molten metal into sand molds.
• Remove aluminum castings from their molds and place on cart.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Work involves standing for long periods of time, as well as lifting squatting and bending.
• Work involves lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Accident hazard can involve serious burns from splashing molten metal when pouring or ladling.
• Work environment contains heat, particularly in the summer months, and noise.
