OVERVIEW:
Production jobs are considered Temp-to-Hire and are at a local manufacturing facility in Fairfield.  This is considered light industrial work, is very repetitive, and can require you to stand for long periods of time.

MACHINE OPERATOR – BLOW MOLD

Long term assignment at a PREMIER manufacturing facility in Fairfield.     

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate blow-mold machines to ensure production of quality products and perform audits, weights, and quality checks.
  • Adhere to quality control and to blow mold process procedure
  • Make adjustments to meet product specifications
  • Grind/trim excess materials from products
  • Prepare & document daily production reports including rejects, regrind, and line efficiencies

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • $12.50/hr training wage on days
  • $13.50/hr for 3rd shift (evenings) and 1st (midnights)

JOB OBJECTIVE:

Ensure the most efficient and cohesive operations regarding all positions of the Manual Mold Department.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Take direction from Supervisor
* Take pattern and out and inspect
* Assist in changing patterns
* Assist in staging cores for molders
* Assist with special inoculations, test wedges, and taking pouring temperatures
* Find cores from core storage
* Perform Manual Mold tasks to allow Manual Mold employees to have breaks and cover jobs when staffing is needed
* Keep area around sand conveying equipment clean and remove sand as needed
* Perform preventative maintenance
* Perform all operations in a safe and timely manner
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment

HOURS OF WORK:
* 5AM – 3PM, MON-FRI, some weekends as needed

PAY
$16/hour

  • Seek quality information and proper operating procedures from prior Operator five minutes before shift change and before breaks.

  • Operate molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and granulators as instructed.
