OVERVIEW
General laborers operate a variety of equipment and perform all types of construction and maintenance related work in the manufacturing and production process of concrete products. This is a long term employment opportunity

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products
• Places steel reinforcing in forms in the manufacturing production process
• Places concrete into forms
• Tears down forms after the concrete is cured
• Cleans and lubricates forms to be used in the manufacturing production process
• Places covers and positions steam lines for curing process

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to efficiently coordinate work with co-workers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet targets and deadlines
• Ability to follow the all  safety practices
• Ability to work with/around light, medium and heavy equipment
• Ability to work with construction/concrete equipment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Concrete and/or construction experience highly preferred

WORK HOURS/SHIFT
• Day Hours
• 8 hour shift typically
• Overtime as needed

WAGE
• $12/hr with periodic raises

Seed Production Research Assistant

OVERVIEW
This is a long-term position to run mid-March through November. Assist research department in gathering data for quality seed hybrids.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Planting/riding on a tractor
• Will be responsible for sampling corn by hand picking ears of corn from plot.
• Shell the corn from the ears
• Clean, weigh and size corn
• Count seed 
• Enter data into spreadsheets
• Weeding, use a hoe
• Harvesting

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be able to work outside in a corn field environment in different weather conditions (spring chilly/windy/rainy, summer hot/humid, fall dry) and also inside in a research/lab setting
• Be independently motivated to travel to plots and take detailed notes following protocol
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day on concrete floors
• Must be organized and pay close attention to detail
• Able to work together in a team environment.
• Computer skills helpful
• Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High School Diploma preferred

WORK HOURS/SHIFT
Day hours with overtime as needed. Some Saturdays required.

Forklift

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Moving product from staging area to loading area per work orders
• Follow proper handling procedure of the goods
• Responsible for conducting regular inspection of the forklift to ensure its safety and ability of performing operations
• Verifying the loaded material with the order that is provided
• Coordinating work with the warehouse staff and efficiently carrying out the orders of the supervisor

FILL LINE OPERATOR

• Place gallons/product into boxes and run through taper machine.

• Must be able to climb rolling stairs with heavy loads

Day shift Monday – Thursday 10 hour days

Packaging Line Worker

OVERVIEW
This is a multifunctional position working on any of the plant packaging lines as assigned and rotating through the various work station on the line throughout the day/shift. Performs all assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner in order to meet Company standards for continuous quality while consistently attaining daily productivity goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Performs various work stations including, but not limited to; bottle unloading, feeding case erector, hand case packing or various inspection points.
•Follow supervisor’s direction while taking an active role and efficiently and effectively execute them as necessary throughout the production schedule.
•Be knowledgeable of daily routines for set-up and start-up.
•Attend company sponsored training and informational meetings when scheduled
•Must be respo9nsible for safety and quality.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
•Must be able to stand for 80-90% of the workday.
•Must be able to ascend and descend safety ladders regularly during your shift.
•Lifting up to 30 lbs. (20-40% of the workday
•Must be able to wear proper safety equipment including, but not limited to; eye protection, hearing protection, and have proper hygiene for safe food practices
•Must be able to lift product or materials up to 30 lbs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•High school diploma
•Complete company pre-employment screenings

WORK HOURS/SHIFT
Various hours including a day and night shift.

WAGE
$9 per hour including a shift differential of $9.75 for night shift.
