Warehouse/Forklift Operator

This is a Temp-to-Hire job opportunity at a warehouse facility in Burlington.  This position works in the shipping/receiving area and employee is responsible for picking orders from a printed sheet and filling small tubs.  Filled tubs could weigh up to 40lbs.  Use forklift to get product out of racks.  Rotate every 4 hours picking orders vs driving forklift.  Computer use is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Loading and unloading products using a forklift as well as through manual labor from and onto trucks
• Follow proper handling procedure of the goods
• Input data into the shipping system for load information
• Lift and empty up to 50 pound bags of dry material into vats for processing
• Other duties as may be assigned by management

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to efficiently coordinate work with co-workers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Basic mathematical aptitude
• Basic computer skills

• 2nd Shift – Monday-Friday Noon – 8:30pm with ½ hour dinner (unpaid) plus 2 – 15 minute breaks (Could work 1-2 hours overtime during busy season)

Area pipe insulating company is in need of pipe insulators for construction projects in the area.  Will be required to wear a hardhat, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves (provided).  Must wear safety boots, long pants and a minimum of short sleeve shirt

Converting Machine Operator

1.  Convert coated stock and board stock to sheeted material that is press ready and reduce/minimize waste.
2. Convert coated stock to slitted material that is press ready and reduce/minimize waste.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately set up sheeter of slitter according to specific job requirements.
• Work in job order according to the schedule provided by team leadership.
• Maintain size within job order specification +/- 1/16”
• Maintain sheet squareness within job specifications +/- 1/32”
• Shrink wrap finished material as directed
• Correctly tag skids with pertinent information.
• Keep machine area CLEAN.
• Accurately complete all paperwork and computer input.
• Complete miscellaneous work as assigned by Team Leader.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery breakdowns.
• Safely operate fork truck and clamp truck to load and unload material.
• Capable of working overtime as necessary.
• Assist in unloading and checking-in any incoming stock of paper.
• Effectively communicate any quality or product concerns to leadership and/or appropriate departments in a timely fashion.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Requires organizational and general math skills, along with the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
• Eye for quality, detail and ability to differentiate error.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 40 pounds.
• Previous experience with a fork truck operation.
