ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for interpretation of blue prints and machine set up for the manufacturing process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have a basic knowledge and experience in AUTOCAD software and product CAD drawings as applicable
  • Have strong knowledge and ability to interpret drawings, specifications, instructions produced by customers
  • Assist with the submission and documentation of the ISIR / PPAP submissions
  • Ability to communicate with customers regarding customer parts, drawings, etc and submit engineering change requests or deviations as necessary
  • Aid in the maintaining of all customer supplied documentation or those produced by the technical department.
  • Maintain and update files for records, drawings, specifications etc. as applicable to the Engineering Dept.
  • Assist with the production of ISIR sample production.
  • Assist Quality Manager if needed with customer returns, testing of parts etc.
  • Check customer drawings to ensure fabrication and proper tooling, jigs are used to enable the production of the product.
  • Before production starts, resolve any potential issues that may be encountered while in the prototype stage.
  • Converse with client's engineering staff for design issues
  • Maintain and update CAD files and systems
  • Coordinate with manufacturing the building of ISIR's
  • Assist in the development of process control techniques for manufacturing
  • Design, modify jigs, fixtures and tooling to improve quality, increase production etc.
  • Train and assist others on the reading and interpretation of blueprints, mics, gauges and DWG specs
  • Convert dwg dimensions to xyz coordinates and load data in MT4
  • Check parts using MT4 in checking of parts per customer prints
  • Draw 1:1 layout of part when necessary to check part for accuracy.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Helps the company meet its Quality objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Flexo Press Operator

Temp to hire position with Burlington facility.
1.  Accountable and responsible for full set up and operation of flexographic printing press.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately setting up printing press according to job specifics.
• Utilizing press assistants effectively to help with supplying press with material, chemicals, and ink supplies.
• Quality testing as needed on presses including conductivity, durameter readings, PH reading, densitometer, color brightness, and other assigned testing.
• Regular and effective quality checks on printed material.
• Mix ink and adjust as needed.
• All designated paperwork done accurately and completely.
• Keep press area CLEAN.
• Fill and dispose of chemicals as needed:  Be sure to follow all safety precautions.
• All duties pertaining to press wash-ups when job complete or switching to new job.
• PM’ing assigned parts of each press.
• Regular general maintenance on assigned press.
• Troubleshooting print quality and issues that arise.
• Effectively communicate to team and leadership.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Requires organizational and general math skills, along with the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for all processes related to flexographic printing.
• Eye for quality, detail and ability to differentiate colors.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
