OVERVIEW

This is a Temp-to-Hire job opportunity at an industrial facility in Lynnville Iowa.  Responsible for operating a saw to fit and fabricate steel, complete layout and inspect finished product.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Saw
  • Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches
  • Perform programming using all features of the Saw
  • Perform spot inspections of parts
  • Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned
  • Read drawings and blueprints

  • Lays out, positions, and secures part and assemblies according to specifications using straightedge combination square, calipers, and ruler

  • Melts lead bar, wire, or scrap to add lead to join or to extrude melted scrap into reusable form
  • Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments
  • Welds components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
  • Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment
  • Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations

Our client company in Newton, IA is searching for an Night Shift Production Supervisor. In this role, you will establish functional business plans and technical project objectives to meet the short- and long- term goals of a production organization and manage production employees in various manufacturing and product development support departments. Managed activities may include but are not limited to the following: production operations activities, parts and components management, purchasing, contract management, sales and quality assurance. This position will require job flexibility, supervisor must be willing to work evening or overnight shift.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of non-exempt and/or hourly employees

  • Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing the same duties as that of employees supervised
  • Immediate/ direct supervision to unit or group of employees

  • Interprets, administers, executes policies/ procedures

Qualifications:
